My Reading Progress

Last week I completed by 2021 Goodreads Challenge of 365 books! The 365th book I read was Hunted by Erica Woods. If you’re ever looking for a Reverse Harem romance with a Heroine who has a traumatic (abusive) past and is realistically working through her trauma, The Feral Souls Trilogy is the series to read. It has a slow-burn romance and a suspenseful sub-plot that creates a fast-paced plot. Each of the books in the series is over 600 pages, so far, but they’re both fast reads. The last book in the trilogy is set to release in 2022.
I read a lot of great books last week, including two that started a trilogy! One of my most favourite reads from last week was The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams, and it was from my Up Next Shelf!
The cover endorsement by Debbie Johnson, “if you love books, read this” rang true. I loved how the book sections were titled the book the main characters were currently reading on the list. For a book about books, I particularly liked how the main characters were not avid readers at the start. In fact, both felt very awkward and like they were being judged when they first picked up a book. The story demonstrated that reading is for everyone and how it can be a mode of connection between people.
Up Next Shelf Progress
A reminder: my Up Next Shelf is comprised of all the unread books I want to read and have purchased.

The Upcoming Week
To Be Read
I’ve been in a YA romance mood recently. With how busy I am with school, I need my reading-for-fun to be lighter and more about escapism.
Last Chance Books by Kelsey Rodkey is one of the fourteen books I’m hoping to finish by 2022 (as mentioned in my End of the Year Book Tag post). I’m hoping this book gives me all the cute enemies-to-lovers vibes. Like all bibliophiles, I love books about books, and I’m especially excited about the fact both main characters work at bookstores.
To Look Forward To This Week
There aren’t any new books coming out this week from my Anticipated Upcoming Releases list. In terms of content, I’m planning on posting my November Wrap this week, which means I will finally be caught up with my Monthly Wraps, just in time for the New Year! My posts for the remainder of December might be a bit sparodic because of how many deadlines I have leading up to the holiday break.
