A detailed look at last week’s reading habits: six new books read, still reading If I Had Your Face and How To Be an Antiracist, three new books I want to read, two of which focus on Canada, and a book that is finally being released this week.

My Reading Progress

In the past week, I haven’t made any progress on my Up Next shelf. My finished reads (as you can see above) have all been historical romances–and all by the same author, too! However, I’m currently reading two books that are from my Up Next shelf: If I Had Your Face by Frances Cha and How To Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi. I’ve been reading How To Be an Antiracist for a month now but I’ve enjoyed reading a chapter here and there between my fiction books. I’ve also still been prioritizing watching TV rather than reading, which is why reading If I Had Your Face is taking so long.

The Upcoming Week

To Be Read

The Nations by K.A. Knight came out last week and I’m so excited to continue the Their Champion reverse harem series. However, it’s definitely bittersweet since The Nations is the last book in the series! Worth has been one of the best–and most badass–Heroine’s I’ve read in quite awhile.

You can click here to read about the first book in the series, The Wasteland.

To Look Forward To This Week

This upcoming week I’m planning on post two book reviews connected by the theme of challenging beauty standards, specifically the extremes women take to attain conventional beauty ideals.

I think I’ve included The Ippos King in what seems like the past month’s weekly wraps because the release date kept changing. However, the release date is finally here: The Ippos King (the third book in the Wraith Kings series) is will be released on October 6th!
