My Reading Progress

Get the Book: 🇨🇦 ~ 🇬🇧 ~ 🇺🇸

I discovered such a great series last week: the Kingdom of Runes series by Audrey Grey. While it has similarities to Sarah J. Maas’s books, I loved how Oath Taker and the following books focus on the Heroine’s friendship with Bellamy. And, while there is a love triangle, it’s introduced before the Heroine commits to either person; no emotional cheating! The only letdown is that the last book in the series, Dark Bringer, has an undetermined release date.

Unfortunately, none of the books I read last week were from my Up Next Shelf.

Up Next Shelf Progress

A reminder: my Up Next Shelf is comprised of all the unread books I want to read and have purchased.

Currently, I have a list of fourteen books on my to-be-read list including The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin. All of them are also from my Up Next Shelf.

I’m hoping to read all these books in November. As my semester gets busier, the more I need to schedule everything to make sure all my work gets done. Hopefully, sticking to a schedule works for which book I’m reading too!

To Look Forward To This Week

Get the Book: 🇨🇦 ~ 🇬🇧 ~ 🇺🇸

I recently updated my Upcoming Release page; my list now extends into 2023! I love being able to look into the future knowing every day gets me closer to a book I can’t wait to read.

Speaking of great upcoming releases, The Fastest Way to Fall by Denise Williams was released yesterday (November 2nd)! It’s a slow-burn, friends-to-lovers romance with a bit of workplace conflict thrown in the mix. The book also confronts and tackles fatphobia! The Heroine is fat and is confident in herself and her body. Marketed as a “feel-good romantic comedy,” I can’t wait to dive into this book.
