My Reading Progress

Get the Book: πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

The past week was a mess of stress – I had a midterm due, which unfortunately necessitated me pushing off my review of The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett and my February Book Haul. I also didn’t post anything on my Instagram, which helped free up a lot of time. The step back from my Blog and Bookstagram made me miss posting – I have some great ideas that I’m excited to get started on! Also, I discovered a new contemporary reverse harem romance that’s also a retelling of Rapunzel: Extra Credit by Autumn Reed. It was adorable, although I found the ending a bit rushed.

Up Next Shelf Progress

A reminder: my Up Next Shelf is comprised of all the unread books I want to read and have purchased.

The total number of books on my Up Next Shelf has decreased from 103 to 102 books. The Wrath and the Dawn by RenΓ©e Ahdieh, which I DNF’d, was on my Up Next Shelf.

Net Progress = Books Added – Books Read

My Net Progress increased to 13 books which means I added more books than I read last week. I added 3 books to my Up Next Shelf this past week!

The Upcoming Week

To Be Read

I’m not just behind in my posting but also my TBR list! I’m currently reading:

  • Kingdom of Souls by Rena Barron
  • The Body Is Not An Apology: The Power of Radical Self-Love by Sonya Renee Taylor
  • Memory Serves by Lee Maracle

I recently started reading multiple books at once and really enjoy juggling a nonfiction and fiction novel at the same time. I’ve just started Kingdom of Souls and am really intrigued by its premise. The world-building is also excellent, so far.

To Look Forward To This Week

March is finally here! I am SO excited! I’ve been counting the days until When He’s An Alpha by Suzanne Wright is released. I honestly felt so much joy knowing I had this book to look forward to in March. (Also, I low-key cannot believe it’s already March – how is 2021 moving so fast?). The first week of March also has another anticipated release: Senseless by Crystal Ash. The cliffhanger from the last book was jaw-dropping – I cannot wait to find out what happens next in the Steel Demons MC series.

I have a lot to catch up on this week! My February Wrap Up will be posted on Thursday. I think I’m going to postpone my review of The Vanishing Half until the second or third week of March so that I can post my February Book Haul. I have so many great books to haul, and I love that I’ve found so many awesome Kindle Deals. I’m also thinking of changing how I keep track of my Up Next progress; I’m no longer digging the graphs.
