My Reading Progress

I posted my review of Finding Ronan’s Heart by Melanie Moreland last week! (You can read the full review here). I really enjoy reflecting on the nuances of romance novels I love; what worked and what interrupted my enjoyment of the story. The book released on Thursday (June 24th) and it’s on Kindle Unlimited!

The past week I mostly re-read books from Stacy Jones’s Taken series. It’s a sci-fi reverse harem series that follows Aria (a badass gladiator human) and Victoria (a recent human abducted by aliens) as they navigate their new lives on an alien slave planet. The first two books are the start of Aria’s story and her harem, the next two books are Victoria’s story and her harem and the most recent book revisits Aria. (Hopefully, that makes sense ๐Ÿ˜….)

Up Next Shelf Progress

A reminder: my Up Next Shelf is comprised of all the unread books I want to read and have purchased.

None last week!

The Upcoming Week

To Be Read

The reason I’m re-reading Stacy Jones’s Taken series โ€“ besides enjoyment โ€“ is because I’m refreshing my memory before diving into the most recent book in the series: Aria’s Desire. It’s the only book I haven’t yet read from the series and I’m so excited to see how Aria’s story continues.

I’m also currently working my way through I Hate Men by Pauline Harmange. Her interpretation of misandry is really interesting.

To Look Forward To This Week

The Princess Stakes by Amalie Howard has been on my Anticipated Upcoming Release list for a while so I’m very excited for its release on Tuesday, June 29th (tomorrow)!

I haven’t been in the mood to read historical romance lately but it’s partly because I’ve re-read all of Lisa Kleypas’s books way too much ๐Ÿ˜‚. Once I saw that Lisa Kleypas wrote an endorsement for the book (as you can see on the cover) I was assured I’d enjoy The Princess Stakes.

“Vivid, sensual and beautifully written โ€“ impossible to put down.”

Lisa Kleypas’s endorsement of The Princess Stakes by Amalie Howard

The last book I read by Amalie Howard was a 5-star read which is assuring; read my review of The Beast of Beswick by Amalie Howard.
