My Reading Progress

Last week was a very meh reading week until I received my eARC of The Lie by Karla Sorensen. I’ve been so busy getting ready for school to start so I’ve mostly been reading novellas. However, The Lie was the perfect jump start to my book slump. I’ll be posting my review on September 15th.

I’m also finally posting my July Wrap this week! I’m hoping to get back on schedule with my monthly wraps. πŸ˜…

Up Next Shelf Progress

A reminder: my Up Next Shelf is comprised of all the unread books I want to read and have purchased.

None this week. Although, I’m currently reading Dune by Frank Herbert and Men Explain Things to Me by Rebecca Solnit.

The Upcoming Week

To Be Read

Considering the Texas abortion bill that went into effect at the end of August, I’ve moved up You’re the Only One I’ve Told: the Stories Behind Abortion by Dr. Meera Shah to the forefront of my TBR list.

The anti-abortion laws and rhetoric around abortion are infuriating. But I’ve seen a lot of pushback online – mostly educational posts – which is comforting.

To Look Forward To This Week

The final book in the Steel Demons MC series, Merciless by Crystal Ash is out on Friday (Sept. 10th)! Despite the series totalling nine books, it doesn’t feel like a long series, until I reflect on the amazing character development. And, of course, the awesome individual character development has created and deepened a compelling reverse harem romance. The post-apocalyptic world-building with the hint of paranormal yields an action-fueled plot with a few mysterious twists.
