Readalike | The Favor by Suzanne Wright
Ten books similar to the steamy, angst-driven THE FAVOR by Suzanne Wright, all featuring strong Heroines and swoon-worthy Heroes!
I’m so excited to post my recommendation list of ten books similar to The Favor by Suzanne Wright! Reading The Favor, I felt like it encompassed so many great romance tropes. While I felt like the drama was a bit too much (you can read my review here), I loved the characterization of the Heroine. Therefore, in each of the books in this list, I’ve made sure to include strong Heroine characterizations!
I’ve broken down the list into three predominant tropes: marriage of convenience, no strings to rings and fake relationship (I explain how no strings to rings differs from fake relationship below). Each book includes secondary tropes that list the details of how the book differs (or maybe more similarities to The Favor); I list the predominant and secondary tropes of The Favor below for you to compare! In my update I also included a “perfect for” section where I suggest which type of romance readers I think would most enjoy the book!
Happy reading!

Secondary Tropes:
✨ Fake relationship
✨ Family Issues (Father is sick)
✨ OW drama (Galore)
✨ Boss-Assistant Relationship
Perfect for those who love comedy in their romance (and who don’t mind misunderstandings).
Predominant Trope: No strings to Rings (Fake Dating)
I feel like I have to explain why “no strings to rings” is in a different category to Fake Relationship/Engagement. “No strings to rings” is when the main characters have a sexual relationship whereas fake dating doesn’t mean the fake couple is sleeping together (and typically requires that they be celibate).
Obviously, the “to rings” part explains how their relationship evolves from hooking up and pretending to be in love to actually catching feelings.
