My original plan was to add my Kindle book haul to my August Wrap but it just made the post way too long and convoluted. So, I’ve decided to post a separate book haul dedicated to all the books I’ve purchased as ebooks, which, for me, are Kindle books.
Overview
This book haul is a menagerie of recent Kindle purchases as well as some outstanding ebooks I’ve purchased this year that I still haven’t read. However, I’ve made the decision to exclude all the ebooks I’ve read, even if they were recent purchases (although, only one of my ebooks were purchased after August 1st). To break down this haul, here are a few standouts:
Most Anticipated? Definitely A River of Royal Blood by Amanda Joy. I love books that focus on character development but also the tension and tribulations of sisterhood… especially when it sprouts from an external conflict they have no control over!
Longest Book? House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas at 803 pages (I had no clue this book was that long).
Shortest Book? Red at Night by Katie McGarry at 83 pages
After discussing the themes of this haul, I split the haul into two stacks based on whether they’re a recent addition or not. The last group includes all my eARCs (advanced reader copies). The haul comes to a total of 27 ebooks!

Summary
It seems like I haven’t read a fantasy novel in such a long time! High fantasy and paranormal romances are definitely my favourite genre–I love the creation of new worlds, adventures and magic. So, it was fun to remember all these great fantasy novels that I have on my Up Next list!

To Look Forward To
I have so many awesome books to read which is fun as well as intimidating. I’ve come across the phrase ‘mood reader’ on Bookstagram recently and I can definitively say my reading preferences are 100% driven by my mood. So, while I have my to-be-read lists and Up Next shelf, my next read is very much so dependent on what I’m feeling.
I also subscribe to Kindle Unlimited so my planned reading is typically interrupted by new releases and discoveries on KU. 😅
